Service Description
You will learn how to score the folding base, cut and position four patterned pockets, add removable tags, finish the covers, and create a simple ribbon closure. The finished folio measures approximately 6 × 6 inches when closed and opens to reveal four pockets arranged across a 12 × 12-inch interior. Use it to hold recipes, favorite quotes, gift ideas, small photographs, autumn plans, or other flat keepsakes. This is a 30-minute guided lesson and demonstration. You are not expected to rush through the entire project during class. We will begin the construction together, and Miss Lakyn will demonstrate the complete four-pocket process. You may finish the remaining assembly and personal decorating afterward at your own pace using the written instructions. No experience is needed, and there is no cutting or scoring to complete before class. We will explore simple, practical ways to build balanced color palettes for paper crafts, fabric, beads, paint, yarn, cake decorating, and more. You will learn how to begin with one favorite color, choose coordinating shades, balance light and dark values, and add contrast without making your project feel too busy. Bring a few colorful supplies from your own craft collection so we can practice building palettes together. No previous color-theory or design experience is needed.
